Vehicle Description
1986 Volkswagen Vanagon Syncro 4x4 - BOXEER 1.4L Turbo - Fresh Build
This is not your typical Vanagon! This 1986 Volkswagen Syncro combines the highly desirable 4x4 Syncro drivetrain and manual transmission with a freshly built BOXEER 1.4L Turbo TSI engine, a modern Volkswagen powerplant specifically engineered for Vanagon conversions. The BOXEER engine offers modern performance, strong low-end torque, and the benefit of using readily available VW components.
This extensive fresh build includes four-wheel disc brakes, lift kit, air conditioning, refreshed interior and exterior, roof rack, and upgraded wheels and tires. It rides on Black Rhino wheels wrapped in Toyo Open Country A/T III tires, giving it an aggressive look and excellent capability for exploring beyond the pavement.
Inside, the vintage VW character is complemented by modern technology, including a backup camera, Bluetooth, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It provides the convenience and connectivity you'd expect from a much newer vehicle while retaining the unique character of the classic Vanagon.
With its rare Syncro 4x4 system, manual transmission, modern BOXEER turbocharged engine, upgraded brakes and suspension, and extensive cosmetic and technology upgrades, this Vanagon is an exceptional vintage adventure vehicle. Freshly built, extensively upgraded, and ready for its next adventure.
